Get the coolest music gadgets for Christmas

So it’s the holiday season and you’re looking for the perfect gift for that special someone. Well, if that person is a music lover, you can’t go wrong with these great gadgets:

  • An Apple iPod Classic. The iPod is the frontrunner in MP3 player technology and the classic is the most user-friendly of the device. Although the Classics were discontinued by the manufacturer, you can still find them on Best Buy and Amazon. Their capacities range from 5 gigabytes (about 1250 songs) to 160 gigabytes (about 40,000 songs), but for practical purposes, you’ll want one with at least 30 gigabytes of memory (about 7500 songs).

  • If you’re looking for versatility in an MP3 player, you can go for the iPod Touch instead of the iPod classic. Although the maximum capacity of the Touch is lower

(topping out at 32 gigabytes) than the classic, it has a wider ranger of uses, including supporting various apps.

  • The iHome: A perfect companion to the iPod classic or any other brand of iPod. This handy device allows the user to play music from their iPod through an external speaker, making it handy for parties and other gatherings.

  • JVC headphones: You’ll hear a lot of hype about the new Beats headphones, but the JVC brand gives you the same quality product and is a much less expensive alternative. Whether you prefer ear buds or on-ear headphones, there’s really no way to go wrong.

  • A Samsung Sound Bar speaker: The real audiophile in your circle of gift recipients is going to love this one. The Sound Bar is an external subwoofer that produces rich, high-quality sound that can be projected to fill a large room. Though a bit on the pricey side, this is the way to go if you’re looking for a unique sound experience. Sound bars can be hooked up to both televisions and music devices and they can be customized to mimic the effects of many different environments, such as concert halls, sports stadiums, and movie theaters. While there are other brands available, Samsung can generally be counted on to provide a good, quality product for the money. It’s very rare to find a Samsung product that is not worth the extra expense it took to get it.

Any of these fine products can make an excellent gift for the music lover on your list, but of course, none of them are any good without good music. Consider adding some iTunes or Amazon gift cards into the mix (or even just some good old-fashioned CD’s if that’s more your speed). With a combination of the right gadgets and the right music, you’ll be guaranteed to make everyone’s spirits bright this holiday season.

  • If I’m being honest, I had no idea that the iPod Classic was even still around. Seems like phones do everything nowadays. A large music library on one of the Classics would be nice though..

  • Have to agree on the Beats headphones, they’re overpriced and honestly, not that good looking either. My fiance has those but he regrets buying them, my Sentey headphones were under 40 bucks and work just as well.

  • I have my eyes set up on Parrot Zik 2.0, I’m hoping I can get these for my birthday, I keep on dropping hints, who knows, I might get them. Dr Dre created a kickass empire with his beats headphones, he’s made a lot of money and people seem to love them.
