The joy of reading is a wondrous thing. It sparks the imagination and allows you to live and experience different worlds. There are a lot of different book series out there and you’re probably wondering why some books in this list may appear to be difficult for children of ages 8. However difficult a book may be, if the interest of the child lies in a particularly difficult book, then reading the book with a parent would be a wonderful activity, thus the addition to this list. The following book are in no particular order.
The Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling
Noddy, Famous Five, and Secret Seven by Enid Blyton
Magic Tree House by Mary Pope Osborne
Junie B. Jones by Barbara Park
Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
Henry and Mudge by Cynthia Rylant
Goosebumps by R.L. Stine
Horrible Histories by Terry Dreary
This list by no means is the epitome of all the book series that are out there. There are so many to choose from, you and your child should go out and explore some of the classic series as well as the latest books to be published.
